As the unemployment rate rises higher and higher, the US government directs its attention and funds to big businesses. Even though, booming businesses are important factors in ending the Depression age, the government should look to those who cause the business to no longer grow; they should look to those who have been kicked out of their jobs because of low money. If this money was given to the business itself, the owners and mangers may take the money for personal use rather than paying their remaining workers. If the money and support was given to the unemployed, then hunger relief, poverty, etc. would not be a great worry. As an effect, with money to use, citizens would once again buy products needed and wanted, causing the industries to grow once again. With the demand, people would be called back to work and the employment rate would rise again, reducing poverty, homelessness, and hunger. Where should government priorities be when money is tight?
