When money is tight, government priorities should be on hunger. There are many people starving and if you don’t have people, then there’s no need for education. The education is also an important aspect, but the appetite of one is more important for the impact of survival. I would rather not have an education than to be hungry or starving.
When money is tight, I think government priorities should be on hunger. Even though education is very important, it is more important to have food. Also, there shouldn’t be more money then necessary, there should be enough to feed a majority of people. When it comes down to it, most people would rather be stupid then hungry.
I think that when money is tight, government priorities should be towards providing food, clothing, and shelter for people. This is because I believe it’s more important to keep the people alive than the businesses. It’s also worthless to put money into education when people are dying of things that the government has the power and ability to prevent if they choose to. Therefore, I believe that if the message above is true and really happened, the government was doing the right thing.
Government priorities should go towards minimal military defense, and ejecting SMALL amounts of money to banks and businesses. The businesses that recieve money should be the businesses that have the largest amounts of stock in investors. Farmers should also recieve support, because they suffer worse than most people during a depression.
During a depression, the government needs to spend their money on their debt. That is how we got into a depression in the first place. First, they need to not overtax the people as they are quickly losing their money as well. They need to slowly climb their way out of such a large debt. As for the families that are in need, wealthier families and organizations can do charities and food drives. Those normally do a better job than what the government does with their money. That is what I think the government should do during a depression.
In my opinion, goverment priorities should be on things that are useful, and not things that are wanted when money is tight. They should be on satisfying the people’s needs, but at the same time, not putting money into something as want. So like, if schools want new textbooks because the ones they are using currently are like 5 years old, the government should not fund in that. But if people are like in serious poverty or need, absolutely need, financial support the government should support that. So, in conclusion, the government’s tactics while money is tight, should work on getting the country out of depression.
Our limited money source should be used on new things to get the country to a better situation. We can’t just sit around wishing to get out of a depression, we need to take action and get out!Theodore Roosevelt didn’t sit around and mope about running a country in a state of depression. He started the New Deal and helped hundreds get back on their feet and start a new beginning.
There is no time for being lazy in a depression. The time to act starts the second you know something is wrong with the world around you. No wishing for a better tomorrow, start a better tomorrow! Therefore, the government should use the limited money they have on effective methods to boost the morale and help the financial situation of the country it runs.
The money should be evenly divided between education and hunger relief. If one thing needs more funds then they should supply them with a little more money and see what happens. One thing should not benefit more than the other unless absolutley necessary.
I think that government priorities should go towards the people when money is tight. Many people would get unemployed, starve, or other disatrous actions would take place. Since we have a democratic government, the people should rule, and if we are plain out broke, how will we be able to support the government. That is why the people should be given the money when economy is tight.
i think government’s priorities during a depression should be on food. The main focus of the government during a depression should be food because it is one of the most vital things the country needs and is not a want but a need. During a depression the government should cut down on spending money on things that are not vital to keep the country going.
In my opinion, people should give some money to each because the schools need money for supplies at school and without supplies they would not really be able to work or study and the Hunger relief too because if they are hungry then they would starve till death and the US would lose population, but they should give an equal amount to both. Also, if the people or government do not have enough money for both then they should not give anyone money.
When a country is in a depression, it is the government’s job to get the country out of it. I think that the governments money should be equaly distributed thoriught the nation. Even though the common belife is that food should be of the first importance, I think that is wrong. The government should equaly distribute the money to care for the hungry and education. If children are educated, theen the might be able to help work and make money to get the nation out of the depression. If the children can get good jobs because they were educated, they can make more money for their families. If all the families get more money, more money will be in circulation, so the economy will get better.
I believe that in an economic depression, around two thirds of the money spent by the government should be spent on providing food and shelter for the poor. This way, the people will not colapse like the economy. The rest should be used to help get out of the depression. This should be done by employing people without jobs, or simply by issuing small amounts of money for people to spend, helping businesses to regrow.
If there is little money left then the government should put funds in hunger relief, but not all money should go to hunger relief. There should still be enough money for bussinesses and education. This is so because if all of the money goes to hunger then the money that is used for other organizations would all be gone.
I think priorities should be split. But if real tight to hunger relief. Because people going hungry = DEATH. Or would you have old but accurate textbooks. Most schools don’t get adequate funding anyway your very lucky if your school does.
But schools still survive. That is why in DIRE SITUATIONS I recommend going to hunger and there are always school fundraisers but what are people going to do if they’re poor and hungry. Think about if you were a poor kid that went to school how would you feel if the people of the city voted to get new textbooks instead of food for you and the other poor. That is if you were poor everything changes.
I believe that Government priorities should be mostly intent on the survival of a country, which I believe is for Hunger Relief. I say mostly because the Gov’t should not be so caught up with hunger relief that they forget every other important thing, like Schools Funds. The gov’t should be split between every important thing, but mostly on who/what needs it most when considering survival. The Political cartoon expresses only half of my belief. Alot of Gov’t spending should be for hunger Relief, but the Schools deserve funds also. There is another point that I believe is expressed very well in this Political Cartoon: The school has a huge moon in the background, and a near-dead tree, making it look insanely creepy… Thats what schools are to me…

Where should government priorities be when money is tight?
Government priorities should be directed towards the children, because they are the people who will have to live most of there life with no money. Also the money that is left should be given to important food and housing companies, because without these children would barely be able to survive with the little money they would have. Directing our priorities towards the children would insure that there would be a future in America.
