Hours of Operation:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 8:05 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Tuesday, Thursday - 8:05 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Policies, Services, and Holdings:
Circulation Policies:
- Students may check out up to five items on their library account at any given time
- Items can be held for two weeks at a time.
- A date due sticker will be placed on each item as a reminder about the item’s due date
- Students can renew items as long as no other student is waiting to use the item
- An overdue library fine of $.05 per day will be charged for each overdue item
- Overdue notices will be distributed periodically to remind students of overdue books
- The replacement fee for a lost hardback book is $16 and a paperback is $5
Services:
- Access to three Mac Mini computers that have the same operating system and capabilities as the county issued iBooks.
- Access to the library catalog of all HCPS schools as well as surrounding public and academic libraries.
- Access to important computer peripherals such as CD burners, external drives, scanners, DVD players, and both still and movie digital cameras.
- Extensive printing capabilities for both the students and faculty.
- Inter-library loan services between HCPS libraries.
- Provides multi-media equipment, instruction and troubleshooting to school population.
- Access to a wide variety of print and electronic resources.
Holdings:
- The library at Moody Middle currently holds about 10,000 volumes within the fiction, non-fiction and reference sections
- Dozens of audio books, including new bestsellers
- A wide variety of magazines that include titles such as Sports Illustrated for Kids, Disney Adventures, National Geographic Kids, Skateboarding, Wired, and Popular Science
- 2 full volumes of print encyclopedias
- 200+ educational videotapes and DVDs on a wide variety of subjects
- Various subject specific reference sets such as Lands and Peoples or Endangered Species of the World
